About
This website aims at providing a simple way to compare Final Fantasy Rebirth Vanilla (stock) version to the excellent Shader Injector mod developped by David Matos, aka dddd5, available on Nexusmod and on Github.
If you want to learn more about this outstanding achievement, David wrote several articles about it on his blog:
Besides Shader Injector, Other “core mods” are used to make FFVII Rebirth a good experience on my setup:
Screenshots have all been taken from a Cachy OS GNU/Linux OS running the game via Steam on an Ultrawide 21:9 screen with HDR enabled. I am using the performance version of Shader Injector, without any tone mapping (not supported on HDR anyway currently).
The picture quality is fairly low (especially on large screens) because the jpeg have been converted to Webp (quality 75) to keep things tidy and generate less Internet traffic.
System info:
OS: CachyOS
KERNEL: 7.0.0-1-cachyos
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D 8-Core
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (radeonsi, gfx1201, ACO, DRM 3.64, 7.0.0-1-cachyos)
GPU DRIVER: 4.6 Mesa 26.0.5-arch2.2
RAM: 31 GB
Personal note: 1.005 update brought A LOT of stuttering on the game for me (independently of any mod). Optiscaler frame generation allowed me to get the game running smooth again.
